Landlord Services

RentHome.ca was created to serve two major needs:

1. To give tenants a highly detailed resource for finding a large inventory of rental listings in the area. Features such as a powerful search interface and lots of photos as well as complete details about the property were part of the criteria that tenants demanded. To quote many of the tenants that we interviewed, "A picture is worth a thousand words." We accomplish this goal by answering almost every question that a tenant could possibly have about each of our listings on the detail page, from price, to area, to deposit, to pet policies. This kind of attention to detail does not exist in any other local rental classifieds. Best of all, our service is free for tenants.

2. To give local landlords and property managers a quality and effective alternative to print advertising that is not only less expensive, but much more highly detailed than print ads. This website is designed to help landlords and property managers accomplish their ultimate goal: lease their properties to quality tenants in a timely manner and with a minimum amount of hassle and cost. We help accomplish these goals by bringing thousands of highly targeted potential tenants from all over the country to our website every single day. 99% of these users will be renting property in an area in the next 0-90 days.

As a landlord or property manager, you know that vacancies cost you time and money. The longer your property sits vacant the more money you lose in lost rent, mortgage payments, utility and maintenance payments, advertising, and dozens of other costs.

Consider this typical 30-day vacancy:

  Lost rent or mortgage payment . . . . . .

$900

  Utilities . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

$70

Miscellaneous expenses (yard, etc.) . .

$50

  Advertising in your local paper . . . . . . .

$100-$600

This typical vacancy would cost a landlord between $37-$54 PER DAY! Just imagine how painful a 60 or 90 day vacancy can get. Have you been there before, are you there now? RentHome.ca will drastically reduce your vacancy time. We do this by attracting a tremendous amount of tenants to our website.

As a landlord you also know that vacancies cost you money in the form of lost time. RentHome.ca will save you hours of time between vacancies that you can use to be more efficient at work, or just to spend time with your family and friends. How can we do this?

Traditional Advertising
How many hours do you spend on the phone talking to tenants that know very little about your property because the ad in the paper looked something like this:

  3 BR 2BATH $900
  2 Car Gar, North Side
  Call Betty 555-1234

Your conversation with the potential tenant will probably go like this..

"Hi, I'm calling about the ad in the paper. What is the address? How big is it? Is it close to schools? What is the deposit? Does it have a Washer and Dryer? Is there a basement? What does it look like? Can I get directions? Oh, by the way I have two 90 pound dogs, is that okay?"

Advertising on RentHome.ca
With RentHome.ca you can enter as much information as you want and post up to eight (8) pictures. The phone calls you get from potential tenants with RentHome.ca will be something like this..

"Hi I saw your ad on RentHome.ca and I would like to take a look at it. What time is good for you?"

Which phone call would you rather take?

How many hours do you waste showing your property to unqualified tenants?

How many times has someone shown up only to say this isn't what I expected or wanted?

With RentHome.ca the tenants already know exactly what you have to offer and since they can map it on our website, they have probably already driven by. Only very serious tenants will set up showings. This could save you hours of lost travel time.

Isn't it worth the 5-10 minutes it will take you to place your ad on RentHome.ca to save hours of personal or business time? If you're still not sure, listen to what some of our customers have to say:

Tenants never have to pay to search, and that means they don't leave our website.

Price.  Our ads costs less than a 1 or 2 day ad in the newspaper. Tenants start their searches online, and only after they can't find anything do they go for a newspaper.

Convenience.  It takes 5 minutes to place and pay for an ad. If you want to edit your ads you can do so any time 24/7 and all changes are free. Since tenants never have to pay or register to view ads, they will contact you directly with any questions and to schedule showings.

Placing an ad on RentHome.ca is easy.  Just follow the easy prompts, and if you ever have any questions, simply consult the handy question box to the right of each field. You will have the opportunity to review your ad prior to placing your order, or making payment.
